The Victorian Association for the Teaching of English is a professional body established to promote the interests of English education and to allow English educators in Victoria to exchange ideas.
VATE brings together teachers in government, Catholic and independent schools, as well as tertiary educators and pre-service teachers.
VATE Council is excited to announce the 2015 VATE Scholarship – AATE/ALEA National Conference.
VATE has secured funding to support a year-long professional learning program which aims to deepen English teachers’ understandings of reading processes through action research in the classroom. VATE can support five teacher teams from across Victoria to explore reading in their schools.
The competition was open to students in years 7-12, and to all ETA members.
Almost 900 entries were received from across Australia. And the winners are...here!
