Welcome to VATE

The Victorian Association for the Teaching of English is a professional body established to promote the interests of English education and to allow English educators in Victoria to exchange ideas.

VATE brings together teachers in government, Catholic and independent schools, as well as tertiary educators and pre-service teachers.

VATE is offering two scholarships for two teachers to attend The International Federation for the Teaching of English (IFTE) conference to be held 6-9 July 2015, at Fordham University, New York, USA.
