Welcome to VATE

The Victorian Association for the Teaching of English is a professional body established to promote the interests of English education and to allow English educators in Victoria to exchange ideas.

VATE brings together teachers in government, Catholic and independent schools, as well as tertiary educators and pre-service teachers.


VATE member text survey - Reading and comparing texts

With the implementation of Units 1 and 2 of the revised English/EAL Study Design in 2016, VATE would like to invite members to complete the following survey to support the new Area of Study, Reading and comparing texts. VATE will compile a list of pairs, and make this list available through the members only section of the website.
