Individual membership offers concessional rates to pre-service, graduate and part-time teachers. Institutional membership is offered at different levels, according to the number of students and the number of campuses. A special category exists for non-school organisations.

HOW DO I JOIN VATE?
There are two methods of membership application: downloading the relevant membership form, filling in all details and sending or faxing it in to the VATE office OR renewing your membership online. Online membership renewal is for past or current VATE members who already have their details on our database. To be able to use the online membership renewal system, you will need your RECORD NUMBER and your PASSWORD. If you are unsure about either of these, please contact the VATE office.
HOW DO I PAY FOR VATE MEMBERSHIP?
Online membership renewals require a credit card (VISA or Mastercard) or institutional purchase order number (institutional membership only). Office membership applications can be paid for by credit card, purchase order number or cheque (made out to VATE).
what if my details change?
You can update your or your school's details at any time either by calling or faxing the VATE office or by logging in to the online membership renewal system and clicking on the UPDATE button and saving any changes that are made. Accurate email and mailing addresses ensure that you and your school receive all our mailouts and electronic communication.
can i add extra teachers to a school membership?
For a school membership, we encourage English Co-ordinators to add the names and email addresses of other English teachers at the school. This facilitates the distribution of information from VATE and the registration of members for professional learning events. Each individual listed is assigned their own unique RECORD NUMBER, USER NAME and PASSWORD.
record number, user name, password...please explain?
Each individual listed on the VATE membership database is assigned a unique Record No - you only use this when renewing membership online.
Your user name is the email address you have supplied VATE - you will need this to login to the Members Lounge on the VATE website and to register for professional learning events.
A unique password is also assigned to each individual on the VATE database - use this with your Record No when renewing membership online; and with your user name when logging in to Members Lounge and when registering for VATE events.
