VATE provides quality professional learning opportunities which keep members informed of curriculum initiatives, current theory and ideas related to the teaching of English.
VATE professional learning activities are offered as whole day, afterschool and weekend events and include:

- Conferences (including subject specific VCE days and general State events)

- Partnership programs
- Tailor Made Professional Development
