The explanations for Covert prestige and Overt prestige were reversed in the glossary of Living Lingo—second edition. Below are the correct definitions.

Covert prestige p308

The linguistic features that are valued by a sub-group within a community, usually associated with non-standard language, e.g., surfers, bikers.

Overt Prestige p319

The linguistic features that are recognised by the culturally dominant group, usually associated with the standard language, e.g., Standard English.
