Our presenters provide notes and ideas on the texts and discussion of essays and examination questions. Students are advised that the aim is not to teach the course or the texts, nor to cover new ground. What the Student Revision Days offer is another teacher's voice on aspects of the course and suggestions about how questions can be tackled in the examination. We hope and expect that this approach will refresh the ideas students have already formed about English/ESL/Literature/English Language, and that the learning they have already undertaken is confirmed.

Due to the success of our Melbourne student revision days, we have over the past few years extended our offerings to regional areas. At present we are offering student revision days for English at Sale and Mildura and English and English Language at Ballarat.

From 2009 we are pleased to announce the addition of a new series of VCE orientation lectures for students commencing Units 3 & 4. Presented by experienced Units 3 & 4 teachers and exam markers, these lectures will familiarise students with the course and understand requirements for each Area of Study. For English, there will be a specific lecture on each Context in Area of Study 2, a general lecture providing an overview of the coursework and the examination and a lecture focusing on Area of Study 3, Using language to persuade.

The discounted rate for online registrations is a great
incentive for students to book themselves in. As these days are heavily booked, and as late applicants often miss out on a place, it is strongly advised that students book in early.
