Literature Network Meeting Two

Description

Preparing for the exam

During this meeting we will discuss concerns and approaches to Section A of the exam. This new part of the Literature exam has naturally caused consternation, as teachers consider how to best prepare their students for an entirely new task on the exam.

Our panel will discuss their approach to Section A with a variety of texts such as Elizabeth Tan’s Smart Ovens, Jane Austen’s Northanger Abbey, William Faulkner’s As I Lay Dying, Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya and others.

Please join us and feel free to ask any questions, so that we can all prepare for the end of year exam together.

Panel:

Anna Purcell – The Mac.Robertson Girls' High School

Christophe Taylor – Scotch College

Cara Martin – Thornbury High School

Chris Muir - Lauriston Girls' School

Convenor:

Yvette Arnott – Melbourne Girls Grammar
