Literature Network Meeting Two - (Recording)

Description

Looking forward: choosing new texts for 2022

After the hiatus on text changes in 2020, we have eight new texts set for study in 2022, offering us change and an opportunity for some fresh textual experiences. The time for finalising book lists is approaching, so we are dedicating this meeting to listening to a range of voices from our Literature community, as they introduce all the new texts, and suggest how they could be used in Units 3 and 4. If you’re not planning on changing your list for next year, come along anyway (virtually) and start designing your 2023 course.

Here is the list of new texts:
Faulkner, William, As I Lay Dying
Ishiguro, Kazuo, The Remains of the Day
Stoker, Bram, Dracula
Chekov, Anton, Uncle Vanya
Parks, Suzan-Lori, Father Comes Home from the Wars: Parts 1, 2 and 3
Shakespeare, William, The Winter’s Tale
Baldwin, James, The Fire Next Time
Yeats, William Butler, Poems Selected by Seamus Heaney
