Literature Perspectives: New Texts for 2025

Listen to our Literature Perspectives writers as they unpack new texts to the VCE Literature text list for 2025. The lectures are pre-recorded for you to use at your leisure when preparing to study these texts in 2025.

• The Winter Road: presented by Anna Purcell, MacRobertson Girls High School

The writers will explore each text and its applications for the classroom, including:

• Perspective on the text
• Features of the text
• Possible uses in the classroom for Unit 3
  • Teaching ideas for Area of Study 1: Adaptations and transformations and Area of Study 2: Developing interpretations
  • Suggestions or assessing Outcome 2 
• Possible uses in the classroom for Unit 4
  • Teaching ideas for Area of Study 1: Creative responses to texts and Area of Study 2: Close analysis of texts
  • Suggestions for assessing Outcome 1

Please select the lecture you wish to purchase from the dropdown menu during registration. There is the option to purchase more than one of the text lectures if required.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be emailed to events@vate.org.au. Cancellations received by 12pm five working days prior to the event date will be charged a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations received after this will receive NO REFUND. Registrations can, however, be transferred to another staff member. Please email events@vate.org.au the details. If you do not attend and have not notified VATE according to the above policy, you will receive no refund.  Please note: If this event is cancelled due to COVID government or venue restrictions, you will receive a full refund.
