Intercultural Connections: Islamic Museum of Australia

The Intercultural Connections series is a new suite of free VATE member resources that will support the delivery of the Intercultural Capability in the English classroom. The series will showcase the work of cultural, community and education organisations, making direct links between the online collections, freely available resources and other repositories and the ways they could be explored in the English classroom. These resources will be published under VATE’s established Middle Ground resource – a deliberately responsively, highly connected and process-oriented publication.

Each edition of Intercultural Connections will be supported by a free member professional learning workshop hosted by the writer. The writer will explore their Intercultural Connections resource, discuss their cultural organisation and opportunities for engaging with their online and phyiscal materials, as well as take questions about the resource and how it can be used in the classroom.

The first free Intercultural Connections session will be:

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be emailed to events@vate.org.au. Cancellations received by 12pm five working days prior to the event date will be charged a 15% cancellation fee. Cancellations received after this will receive NO REFUND. Registrations can, however, be transferred to another staff member. Please email events@vate.org.au the details. If you do not attend and have not notified VATE according to the above policy, you will receive no refund.  Please note: If this event is cancelled due to COVID government or venue restrictions, you will receive a full refund.
