In 2023, VATE’s Mini-Method program will support teachers with the undertaking of the new Study Designs for English, English as an Additional Language and Literature to be implemented in classrooms from Term One, 2023 and English Language to be implemented in Term One, 2024. The Mini-Method is designed to support teachers’ understanding of the implications of the new Study Designs, provide an opportunity to upskill in content-specific knowledge, as well as assist with the planning and preparation involved with the VCE Englishes courses. The Mini-Method programs are suitable for those teaching VCE Englishes for the first time, and more experienced teachers who are looking to enhance their understanding of the new Study Designs. Registration also includes access to the recordings of the workshops, and any notes or resources that presenters make available.
To support members’ participation in the Mini-Method program, there are two options for registration.
Option 1: a combination of in-person sessions at AEU Abbotsford and online sessions (via Zoom). The AEU Building is located at 126 Trenerry Crescent, Abbotsford. Please note that due to room capacities at the AEU, the number of Option 1 registrations will be capped.
Option 2: all sessions delivered online (via a combination of Zoom and livestream)
